V06 is the Spanish language mode of the Russian 6 operator. It was retired as a regular operation in 2000.
Despite not being in regular operation since 2000, the V06 voice appears to be still available to use. On September 8, 2012, a test transmission was made using it. On February 6, 2014, a full V06 transmission was made. In May 2016, the V06 voice was used during training sessions along with another otherwise inactive mode, V23 . Another V06 transmission took place on January 29, 2020, using the known drill ID 975. A null message was transmitted on March 24, 2020. In March and April, 2023, several more V06 test transmissions took place.
